Dr. Mehdi Bahrami is a Principal Researcher at Fujitsu Research of America in Sunnyvale, California. He has published numerous technical papers in the areas of AutoML, Natural Language Processing (NLP), cloud computing, and API integration. Previously, he worked in the Cloud Lab at the University of California, Merced. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0. His Ph.D. dissertation, which focuses on a dynamic cloud architecture with privacy preservation, was completed under the supervision of Professor Mukesh Singhal and is available online through the University of California eScholarship, published by ProQuest Open Access (PDF).

Dr. Bahrami has over 15 years of experience in the software industry and more than 5 years of academic experience in computer science. He serves as an editor and reviewer for several international computer science journals, including Springer journals, and has been a technical program committee member for various international IEEE computer science conferences. He has also been a featured speaker and invited presenter at numerous international conferences and events.

With extensive expertise in software engineering, Dr. Bahrami is skilled in developing distributed software applications across diverse platforms. He is a Senior Member of ACM and has been an IEEE Senior Member since 2013—a designation achieved by less than 8% of all members. His accolades include 2024 IEEE Outstandin Engineer Award, the Best Demo Award at the 2016 ACM ICN, the 2015 Distinguished Leadership Award from the Margo F. Souza Leadership Center, the Margo Souza Entrepreneur in Training Award in 2015, an Achievement Award from the 2015 IEEE MobileCloud, and several fellowships during his Ph.D. studies at UC Merced.

Dr. Bahrami is the author and inventor of over 34 granted U.S. patents, with an additional 25+ patent applications pending. His work has been featured in several media outlets, including MIT Technology Review.

Dr. Bahrami's research interests include Generative AI, Applied Machine Learning, and API integration.
